The company's users are monitoring and manage the traffic in cities. Their preemptive actions and fast response can save lives. One of the main objectives of the platform is to give users all of the information they need in an intuitive way so they can make the right decisions as fast as possible.
The User
TMC Operator. TMC operators monitor city roads for safe, smooth traffic flow and manage incidents, coordinating with agencies like police and first aid. They use a 'live map' for real-time views of incidents, unit locations, CCTV, and message boards, ensuring efficient response and communication among all units.
Task
Background
Intersections are key in traffic management, often being hotspots for accidents and congestion. They impact traffic flow and environmental safety. An ideal intersection maintains a specific traffic pattern, including vehicle count and speed. Nearby incidents, heavy traffic, or faulty signals can disrupt this performance.
Requirements
